Formafantasma

After studying Design at the Eindhoven Design Academy,Andrea Trimarchi (1983) and Simoen Farresin (1980) founded Studio Formafantasma, inserted in 2011 by Paola Antonelli, curator of the Department of Design at MoMA, on the list of the world’s most innovative design studios.

They have received commissions from, among others, Fendi, MaxMara/Sportmax, Droog,Nodus rug, J&L Lobmeyer, the Libby Sellers and Established and Sons. Their works have been acquired for the permanent collections of MoMA and the Metropolitan Museum (NYC), and the Victoria and Albert Museum (London), the Art Institute of Chicago, the Textile Museum in Tilburg, the Stedelijk-Hertogenbosch, MUDAC in Lausanne, the Mont Museum of Craft and Design in North Carolina, and the Mak Museum in Vienna. They teach courses and workshops in a number of art institutes and they are members of the Well-Being Department of the Design Academy in Eindhoven.
