Beatrice Galilee

Beatrice Galilee is a New York-based organiser of events, ideas and spaces.   Beatrice is the executive director of a new platform for discourse in the expanded fields of architecture and design, The World Around.  Between 2014-2019, Beatrice held the position of the first Daniel Brodsky associate curator of architecture and design at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Beatrice has worked as a Chief Curator of the 2013 Lisbon Architecture Triennale, co-curator at 2011 Gwangju Design Biennale and co-curator of the 2009 Shenzhen Hong Kong Biennale of Architecture. She co-founded The Gopher Hole, an exhibition space in London. Beatrice has spoken and curated conferences all over the world on the topic of contemporary architecture, exhibitions, and writing. Beatrice Galilee's writing has been published in a number of international magazines and books as well as mainstream newspapers. These include Domus, Frieze, Abitare, Tank, Pin-Up, Building Design, Architectural Review,Today, RIBA Journal, DAMn, Frame, Wallpaper, Another Magazine as well as books and exhibition catalogues.
